More Bar Obsession + Inspiration

Summer is around the corner, people! And nothing is more summery and happy than a refreshing cocktail with one of those little umbrellas and a piece of pineapple in it - at least that’s what pops in my head when I think of it :)

For so many reasons, I’ve been obsessed with bars lately, maybe because of the bar cart fever around - I’ve seen many oh-my-god-so-pretty ideas! - but mostly because I recently inherited a very special set of vintage hand-painted cocktail glasses and garafe from my grandma (insert a thousand hearts in here). Isn’t it beautiful? (see picture below!) I brought it home super carefully and placed it on my bar, but haven’t decided quite yet on where/how to display it. Might need to rearrange EVERYTHING to find the perfect place for it - the story of my life!

I adore bar carts, but don’t own one (yet). Instead, I have a classic foldable wooden bar. It doubles as a credenza or tall table when we are not having a party. And I’ve been trying to give it a new look for a while. Maybe some modern wallpaper in the interior? Maybe a coat of paint? So many options!

While looking for inspiration pictures I found all these gorgeous alternatives for a bar at home. I have to admit, I might turn mine into the official bar only for special events and place a small bar somewhere else in the house. I mean, you need cocktails in every single room, right?

Taking a look again at all these pictures I certified once more how much I love grays and neutrals. Look at this elegant black wall and the fantastic contrast it makes with that golden tray. Classic! Btw, that’s Badgley Mischka’s home. Oh yes. BEAUTIFUL!

Neutrals again! and a set of great club leather chairs that invite for some cognac and a long chat. I love the rustic bar behind and the light fixture.

Surprised that I liked this shiny mirrored tray WITH a mirror above? Plus, the golden lamp, all those metallic accents and clean lines on the white chairs. So perfect!

When I saw this bar I thought it was so clever and pretty - I secretly adore all french cottage type of furniture and decor, but never dared to include it in my place -. Whenever I see different styles mixed I instantly get stuck. I totally admire eclectic spaces, but haven’t found the best way to do it at home.

And bar carts! Obviously. These are not my favorite options ever, but I love them because the use of space is great and they both have different personalities. Love the first one because of its elegance. To me it says sassy! The second one is more colorful and simple, like for daily use WITH  a tray you can put anywhere when you need it. Love it too!

And finally! black and white gorgeous simplicity. You can click on this picture and find a bunch of more options for your own inspiration! ;)

So many amazing options and I continue thinking what to do with my bar at home (sigh!) I guess I have some time to figure that out, try to arrange it, look for accessories (!) and put extra character on it. In the end, it’s all about having fun with the whole process. Will definitely keep you posted on any progress I make :)

Enjoy the long weekend and start cheering right now! It’s almost 5pm (somewhere). Thanks again for reading! xx.
