Happy New Year, loves!

I've had a very busy first month of 2018. Wrapping up some projects, starting some new ones, planning awesome collaborations and preparing new decoration services for you all! It definitely feels longer than only 30 days. So, when our friends from The Melrose Georgetown Hotel reached out offering a staycation for the hubby and I, we didn't have to think it twice!

What's more pampering than a romantic escape to a luxurious hotel, a bottle of champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries? Our stay at the Melrose Georgetown Hotel was everything we wanted and more! The service and food were exceptional - especially the Valentine's Day menu at Jardenea that you HAVE to try - but my eyes went straight to the fabulous architectural details and interiors. Take a look!

Perfect molding creating a statement at the front desk area. Below: my favorite touches of black and amazing textures in the restaurant area.

Marble fireplace, walls covered in fabulous fabric, and touches of metal for a chic look.

I really enjoyed the intimate lounge feeling around the common spaces. You can find a bunch of interesting nooks and seating areas - some of them dark enough to curl up with a book or maybe a martini. The atmosphere feels modern yet curated for extra comfort. The rugs are all graphic and fabulous, and the color palette includes sophisticated shades of purple and blue splashed with a fun pop of orange! A perfect pairing.

We stayed at the Ambassador's suite and loved every single detail. The walls are covered on textured wallpaper in a sophisticated shade of blue-gray. Again, the pops of color are an amazing addition to the decor, in this case in a beautiful leafy green. From fresh flowers to breakfast in bed for two, I can't recommend this hotel enough! If you are looking for your next getaway or a fab place to spend Valentine's Day look no further - just don't forget to order french toasts with your coffee in the morning ;)

Thanks for reading! xx.
